WCSI Acquires Design Engineers

Updated: Apr 12, 2018

Water Consulting Specialists, Inc. (WCSI) today announced the acquisition of E.N. Design, Inc. (Design Engineers) of Hackensack, NJ. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The acquisition strengthens WCSI’s service coverage in New York City and the Tri‐State Area and launches WCSI into the commercial / industrial water market in the Northeast. WCSI will integrate Design Engineers’ operations into their Fairfield, NJ office.

Gary Kingzett and his wife Mary Shaw, owners of Design Engineers stated “We were looking for a succession plan that would ensure continued service for our existing customer base. WCSI, with established operations in Northern NJ and decades of experience in industrial water markets, provides Design Engineers’ customers the assurance that they will be well supported.” Gary will assist in the transition of operations to the new ownership group.

Andrew W. Collentro, President of WCSI, stated “We were attracted to this acquisition because the two companies share so many of the same core values. For nearly 40 years, Gary and Mary have serviced their clients at an exceptional level. Like WCSI, Design Engineers provides customized solutions beyond just equipment and maintenance. They provide technical support, design, and engineering assistance at a personal level for every client. The result of which is decades of repeat clients and customer referrals.”
